Led by Ambrose Clinton who has over 40 years experience in the hair industry and his dedicated team of hair stylists and beauticians, they have provided an incomparable service to the town of Navan for the last 20 years.
Along with their expertise in hair, makeup and nails, the team have been renowned through the years for creating beautiful looks for every occasion, from Bridal, Debs and Confirmations to First Holy Communions.
With an ever evolving market, we are constantly looking for ways to accommodate each one of our clients. Most recently, the Trichology salon was added to offer solutions to our clients who suffer from hair loss issues. Headed by our resident and highly qualified Trichologist, Ambrose Clinton. After a private and in-depth hair and scalp analysis, Ambrose will create a personalised treatment plan or solution for each client, which can include anything from top of the market supplements and serums, hair replacement systems, hair fusions, Low Level Laser Therapy, to a medical wig.
As a result of our on-going dedication to providing the very best hair and beauty service to our clients. In 2022, we were finalists in the Irish Hair & Beauty Awards and then just a few months later, won the “Best in Hair” and the top prize of the night, “Overall Excellence in Style” at the 2022 Meath Style Awards. On an equally exciting note, for the last number of years we have been rewarded with a “Client Experience Award” through our booking software, informing us that our clients have yet again given us an impeccable 5 star rating on Google.
Ambrose Clinton
Co-Owner & Trichologist
Education: I became a fully qualified hair stylist from Vidal Sassoon in London. From there on, I’ve been meticulous in my re-training, completing courses with L’Oréal, Wella and Alfaparf Milano.
Experience: I have over 50 years of experience in the hair industry. After getting my qualification from Vidal Sassoon, I got my professional start working there for a short period of time. After returning home, I worked for other reputable salons before leaving in 2003 to fulfill a lifelong dream of opening up a salon of my own. For the past 20 years, I have run Ambrose Clinton Hair and Beauty with my daughter Davida.
Expertise: These days I’ve been specialising in Trichology. Throughout my career, I’ve found that those suffering from hair loss conditions in Navan, mostly have had to travel further to get their treatment or medical wigs. This was something that I sought to fix and hopefully have.

Davida Clinton
Co-Owner & Beautician
Education: I was certified as a beautician from The Beauty Academy after successfully completing my training in facials, manicures, pedicures, makeup and waxing. But as all salon professionals know, extra training is a must, so I continued my education. First, with a 2 year makeup course at LA Academy, private makeup lessons and ASU nail training for gel and acrylics. Then I completed several other courses in Manicure Company BIAB nails, tanning, Clinicare facial treatments, lashes and brow lamination.
Experience: I have 18 years experience in the beauty industry and working alongside my Dad, Ambrose.
Expertise: I’ve been specialising in makeup for the last number of years. It’s just so fun to create glamorous and edgy looks, as well as seeing the boost of confidence in a client.

Suzanne Lee
Senior Hair Stylist
Education: Fully qualified senior hair stylist.
Experience: Starting my hairdressing career with Ambrose at only 18 years old, I have spent the last 33 years in the hair industry
Expertise: My specialties are upstyles, whether it's Bridal and Debs to First Holy Communions and Confirmations. I also enjoy perming and blow drys.

Claire Fitzgerald
Manager, Senior Stylist & Mentor to trainee stylists
Education: I have a City and Guilds Level 3, Platinum hair extension certificate and a Redken colour masterclass completed.
Experience: In total, I have 14 years hairdressing experience. I first worked and trained in Mark Yeates Hair in Mullingar and spent 2 years hairdressing in Canada.
Expertise: I’m an expert in all types of colour including highlights and platinum keratin bond hair extensions.

Chloe McQuaid
Beautician
Education: I studied beauty therapy at Cavan Institute and nail technology at the Beauty Institute while also qualifying in classic lashes, spray-tans, advanced waxing and using the electronic nail file. I also qualified in chemical peels at Alumier MD.
Experience: After graduating from Cavan Institute in 2019, I worked part-time in a small beauty salon until it closed due to Covid-19. After this, I worked for a year and a half in a salon doing all kinds of facial treatments, hair removal treatments and advanced skincare.
Expertise: I’ve been specialising in all aspects of nails since mid 2019. Especially gel, acrylics and nail art.

Grace Coakley
3rd Year Apprentice
Education: I’m currently training in a Level 6 hairdressing apprenticeship with the NHA.
Experience: I have worked in Ambrose Clinton’s now for over 2 years now as an apprentice, under the guidance of Claire Fitzgerald.
Expertise: My favourite thing to do in the salon would be curly/wavy styles and doing models for highlights and colours.
